lexi's donut experience

Today in human geo we did learn a little bit but not enough to make me excited about this year’s human geo class. I don’t know why thought I just don’t seem interested in what we learned today. What we learned to is a message to Garcia is was really boring I didn’t really understand it as well as other people did and I kind of feel stupid about the whole thing. Then Lexi saw donuts on Mr.Schick's cart and she went off because she wanted a donut it was kind of funny actually. It was like you had to be there kind of moment I guess cause he dropped one on the floor and she screams can I have that one and then Mr. Schick just picks it up and throws it in the trash can it was quite funny actually again had to be there kind of moment I guess. But eventually lexi got her donut.

boring homework

Today we did nothing in class probably the only fun class were going to have all year. Now we have to do some ancient Greek thing I don’t know personally I think we should do it on the Olympics.
ArĂȘte- A sharp mountain ridge
Polis- A city in ancient Greece
Socrates- ancient Athenian philosopher. As represented in the writings of his disciple Plato, he engaged in dialogue with others in an attempt to reach understanding and ethical concepts by exposing and dispelling error (the Socratic Method). Charged with introducing strange gods and corrupting the young, he committed suicide as required
The death of Socrates- cannot find on internet
The Socratic method- Socrates engaged in questioning of his students in an unending search for truth. He sought to get to the foundations of his students' and colleagues' views by asking continual questions until a contradiction was exposed, thus proving the fallacy of the initial assumption. This became known as the Socratic Method, and may be Socrates' most enduring contribution to philosophy.
the date 508 BC- The Roman-Etruscan Wars were a series of wars fought between ancient Rome (including both the Roman Kingdom and the Roman Republic) and the Etruscans, from the earliest stages of the history of Rome. Information about many of the wars is limited, particularly those in the early parts of Rome’s history and in large part are known from ancient texts alone.
Agora- (in ancient Greece) a public open space used for assemblies and markets. A monetary unit of Israel, equal to one hundredth of a shekel
What the ancient Greeks meant if they called you an idiot- it means that there calling you a very  private person.

Today’s human geo class was very interesting I went in and sat down then he ran through attendance and nicknames stuff I don't know. Then we switched seats witch I didn't like because of some reasons. Reason one is that I absolutely hate the front with a passion. Reason numero dos its right in front of the projector so I feel watched. Not a good sign. Then we went over our blogs from like a few nights ago mine wasn’t there. You have got to be kidding me. I mean come on I spent too much time and effort into it and it’s not even there it’s like I typed and it disappeared into the wild or something. Then we went over the basic instructions that we got on orientation day it was really boring it was like English class all over again. Talk about boring. So any ways that’s what we did in class today hope you like it. I guess.

First day at John Carroll (a.k.a) Orientation   was a quit interesting event because I didn’t know what I was doing at all, all I know was that my sister goes there she loves it and she loves her advisory and friends a lot. I was scared and intimidating, because I knew a lot of people but I didn’t know the school like I thought I did. First we gathered in the in the cafeteria for breakfast it was probably for reuniting with your friends cause most of us did that. Then all the students went to their advisory and got our locker. I really hate the locks but I can open my locker now I really only know one person in my advisory because he went to the same school with me before I went to john carol. Next went back down to the cafeteria for a “snack” I really don’t call chips and water a snack but it was the schools choice so I went with it. Then we went on kind of a tour but all we did was go to the main points like the library, to take our yearbook and ID card pictures I probably looked horrible in both pictures but, who cares nobody should be judging, right? Then when the “tour” was done we went to lunch, we had pizza, I didn’t really like it but I still went with it. After lunch we had the rest of the day full of classes. It was basically just meeting our teacher. I have Mr. Perry he scares me because of how loud he is I seriously think he’s a drill sergeant. I was late to one class and that class had happen to be Human Geo, at first I thought the class was studying the human body but it was about studying places around the world and the people who live there like Indians or something. I just don’t want to study like the 1300’s. I really want to study like 1900’s and above but it’s the Mr.Shicks place to decide really.
